What is a home warranty?
The Service Contract Industry Council (SCIC) defines a home warranty as service contracts that “cover repair or replacement of a home’s major systems, such as heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing and major appliances for renewable one-year terms.”
How is Home Repair Share different?
HRS offers a monthly subscription based cost-sharing platform that protects like-minded homeowners from the high cost of unexpected repairs and replacements on home systems and appliances.
What repair costs are eligible?
The costs for unexpected breakdowns for system components are shared for eligible repair or replacement of heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, appliances, minor roof leak repairs, pool & spa equipment, sprinkler systems, water softeners, well and septic pumps, insurance deductibles, and more. Subscription contributions are shared by participants and go directly to other participants repair costs that request sharing.

Our participants have shared 100% of all eligible repair requests submitted since 2018. We don’t ask for home inspections or maintenance records before you enroll for one of our home protection sharing packages.

Choose your package.
With three packages, select the best one that works for you. Choose a sharing package to help protect the cost of your home’s parts and components of major systems, a package for just the appliances, or our Complete Package that includes both.

Request service.
When an eligible item breaks down, just send a text to inform us of the item needing repair. Choose your own fair and trustworthy pro, or get a like-minded contractor from us when you request service. You can even choose to do-it-yourself if you are able. The before-after pics and invoice are sent via text or email by you or the pro when the repair is complete. We take care of the rest.

We share and pay.
After receiving the repair info for the sharing request, participants have agreed to share your eligible repair cost and Home Repair Share pays you or the contractor the same day. It’s that simple and easy to get protection you believe in.

Home Repair Share vs. Home Warranty
Don’t consider us a home warranty. Think of Home Repair Share as a way to take care of your systems and appliances within an honest and cooperative environment in agreement with others…together. Whereas a home warranty offers an isolated service contract between you and a home warranty company…alone.
Home Repair Share offers an approach to home protection that has more flexibility than service contracts, with double the allocation of funds to home repairs on average compared to a traditional home warranty. We even allow you to use your own pro, or fix repairs yourself and reimburse your costs, giving you more control than what a home warranty can realistically offer.

Schedule appointment with service professional from the Pro-Network. or use your own that’s fair and trustworthy to diagnose cause of breakdown. They text before and after pics and invoice. We assign your eligible share request across the platform and we pay you or contractor the same day.
What is a home repair share package?
A home protection share package is a cost-sharing subscription that helps with the cost of eligible breakdowns for repair or replacement of home system components and appliances for normal wear and tear. Home warranties do not promote the sharing of repair costs between like-minded homeowners like a home protection share package does. When something breaks you text HRS. Get a contractor from the Pro-Network or use your own and schedule appointment. Text before and after pics along with invoice and eligible repairs costs are immediately shared and paid to you or the contractor.
What does a Home Repair Share package offer?
Our personalized packages provide protection for eligible repairs costs of the major home systems and appliances that you rely on everyday, from your refrigerator to your heating and air conditioning systems.
